Hvar Harbor |
| DESCRIPTION: |

Hvar is the name of both the island and the
main port. Inhabitants first set up life here between 3500 and 2500
B.C. It was later colonized by the Greeks, the Slavs, the
Hungarians, the Italians, and the Austrians. Today it lives on its
fishing and tourism industries. Hvar is also known for its lavender.
